1) For those Canadians who do not already know, talk a little bit about how you got to where you are right now.

Growing up I played as many sports as possible including soccer, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, rugby, swimming and football. I was a very active kid and tried to be the best all around athlete I could. Playing all the other sports helped me with footwork and body control. I started playing football at the age of seven. I managed to make the Team Canada (Global) team in 2007 where I played defensive tackle. I started learning about how the CFL worked and the ratios of Canadian to American players and I decided if I wanted to play professional football my best bet was at offensive line so I made the switch.

2) What is the best thing about playing NCAA Football? What is the most challenging thing?

I am fulfilling my childhood dream. I dreamed about playing college football and getting the opportunity to play in front of thousands of people every Saturday. I managed to go to a very prestigious university and get a great degree and it’s free. The most challenging thing is managing your time and making sacrifices. I am a collegiate athlete and have more responsibility, and I don’t just represent myself, I represent my family and university everywhere I go. I can’t afford to make bad decisions.

3) What is your biggest individual goal for 2010 season? Team goal?

To be selected 1st team all conference get an invite to a senior bowl and to have a successful season.

4) What is something that people should know about you?

Pretty laid back guy was born and raised in Montreal moved to Ottawa when I was 11. I played offensive line every now and then in high school but I was primarily on defense. I only truly started playing O line until my senior year in HS.

5) What advice do you have to young football players in Canada?

Keep working hard, only you can control your mind heart and soul. Put everything you have into it. Get in the weight room, get on the track, and go out to camps. Take coaching points well and be consistent and don’t burn bridges.
