The Charlottetown, PEI native is ranked 21st on the CFC100 Class of 2024 Rankings, and spent time playing for the Charlottetown Privateers before making the vital decision to advance his football career by transferring to Clarkson Football North where he competed against American competition on a weekly basis for his final two years of eligibility.

Stanley also played for Team Davis Sanchez in the 2022 CFC Prospect Game on TSN, where he really got his first taste of what life was like off the island lining up against some of the top players from across Canada at TD Place Stadium in Ottawa.

The 6’4″, 295lbs offensive lineman didn’t take long to get acclimated to the pace of play down south, and was able to grab a trio of offers from Maine, Colgate and Bryant. The scary part to think about is after only two years of playing at an elite level in high school, he’s still just scratching the surface of his potential, which must have the Black Bears’ coaching staff salivating at the possibilities.

Stanley joins a star studded lineup of Canadian prospects who’ve found their way to Maine in recent years, and should have any easy time transitioning with fellow CFC100 LB Darius McKenzie, WR Aaron Arteaga, OL Nicolas Cruji, OL Nicholas Kaptein, and DL Nicolas Kalume already on campus.

Stanley is also the first prospect from PEI who’s made headlines on National Signing Day since CFC began tracking data in 2010.
