The Nelson Lords are Halton Tier 1 senior champions after defeating the Corpus Christi Longhorns. The Lords jumped out to an early lead they never relinquished, relying on the arm of QB Will Finch. Finch finished 20 of 27 with 2 touchdowns and one interception.
Nelson moves on to play the winner of St. Thomas More/Cardinal Newman (Hamilton Catholic final to be played November 17) on Monday November 21 @ 10:00 a.m. for the GHAC title with that victor to move on to the Golden Horseshoe Bowl semi final vs. Region of Peel Runner Up ( Our Lady of Mount Carmel) on Friday November 25th at 10:00 a.m. being played at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke.
