New Brunswick Football high school all stars named

Andre Goguen was one of many New Brunswick high school football players named all stars earlier this month , the grade 11 student at Ecole L’Odyssée has been in the 10 man league since he started high school in grade 9. Since then, André has become a great player on and off the field , being named one of the Olympiens’ captains for the season. He was named offensive lineman of the year in the 10 man division earlier this month.

“I owe alot to the guys that play beside me , we have a great Offensive line and everytime we step on the field, we work together, I also owe alot to my coaches, they thought me alot on and off the field” said André when i asked him how he felt being one of the leaders of his football team.

Here is how the All star teams shape up for the 12 and 10 man division’s looked for the 2011 season.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

The player of the year was Micheal Bohan,Tantramar, Dave Boulay of Harrison Trimble was named the Offensive Player of the year and Al Snowden of Tantramar was the Defensive Player of the year. Robbie Baxter of Macnaughtan was named Offensive Lineman of the year and also brought home the Bill Glenndinning Award. The Defensive Lineman of the year went to Brent Powers of Moncton High. Tantramar high school’s coaching staff was this year’s best and Bill Allanach brought home the League service award. Here is the Eastern Conference high school All-Stars

The Player of the year in the Western conference was Fredericton high school’s Reid Johnson. Alex Dee from Leo Hayes won the Offensive Player of the year, while his teammate Isaac Pickell brought home the Defensive award. Colin Girouard of Fredericton won the top Offensive Lineman of the year and Oromocto’s Brenden Sangster won top Defensive Lineman. The Leo hayes Lions Coaches were named the leagues best coaches. The Player of the year in New Brunswick’s 10 man division was Quentin Chown from Kennebecasis Valley. Colin Landers, also from the Crusaders won the Defensive Player of the year. Devin Elsemore of St Stephen won the top Offensive Player honours. L’Odyssée Olympiens’ Andre Goguen was the top Offensive Lineman and Jacob Tanner of St. Stephen won both Defensive Lineman of the year and the Bill Glendinning award. Coaching Staff of the year went to L’odyssée and the New Brunswick fair play award also. Here are the 10 man all stars.
