Both 12-man and 10-man football divisions have released their schedule for the 2011 season.
The season will kick off on Friday September 9th as Simonds hosts Hampton at 5:00pm. A second notable game will feature the 2010 12-man championship re-match as Fredericton will face off versus Bernice McNaughton.
During week 3, the much anticipated TD Atlantic II weekend will feature the classic rivalry of the “Acadie Cup” featuring Mathieu-Martin versus Odysse in Moncton on Thursday night. The following day will have Moncton hosting Bernice McNaughton and Harrisson Trimble hosting Tantramar in back to back games at Rocky Stone field.
In the 10-man division, eight teams will face off in playoff format with no bye’s. The 12-man division will be slighty different, as the number one ranked team from the Southwest division will receive a bye while the second ranked team and third rank team battle it out. In the Eastern division, the top four teams will play each other.
The championship games are set for Saturday November 12th. The 10-man final will be played at 12:00pm and the 12-man finals will follow at 2:00pm. The finals will be held once again at Rocky Stone field in Moncton.
