The University of Alberta’s Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation has unveiled the design of the new turf that is being installed at Foote Field this summer.
In the center of the green turf field will be gold coloured “Varsity A” logo, while each gold coloured endzone will feature the University of Alberta logo.
Installation of the brand new ACT Global “Xtreme Turf Premier” began in early June and will be completed and ready to use for the Pan Am Junior Games by July 31st. The installation is being handled by Montreal based Carpell Surface, the same company that installed a similar surface in Montreal’s Olympic Stadium. The new turf at Foote Field will be home to the Golden Bears football program, and used by the U of A varsity soccer programs, as well as utilized by Football Alberta and other sporting bodies.
