London lineman recently joins OUA team’s 2014 class.

Academics have outweighed football in Ben Koczwara’s future plans.

Recently, the 6’3, 225 pound defensive standout from London, Ontario signed with the Waterloo Warriors for the 2014 OUA season.

β€œI chose to commit to Waterloo because I felt that academically, it was the best fit for me because unfortunately football doesn’t last forever,” explained Koczwara of his decision.Β  β€œI am extremely excited to be a part of Waterloo football and looking forward to what we will be able to achieve.”

Koczwara comes to the Warriors after completing his high school career with the St Thomas Aquinas Flames of the Thames and Valley Regional Athletic Association (TVRAA). Moreover, he has suited up for the London Jr. Mustangs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).Β  During his career, Koczwara has played at the tackle (left/right) and linebacker positions.
