CEGEP slotback signs with RSEQ team.

Positive feedback of one RSEQ teamโ€™s coaching staff was enough to sell a Quebec offensive threat in his decision to commit to the school.

Anthony Aubry is now a Concordia Stinger.ย  The 6โ€™1, 200 pound slotback from Lanoraie, Quebec will join the team for the 2014 RSEQ season.

โ€œCoach Pete Regimbald (Stingers Recruiting Coordinator) is a big reason why I chose Concordia,โ€ explained Aubry of his decision.ย  โ€œHe was the only scout to come to one of our practices to see me in action and then contacted me and showed true interest in me and the potential I had as a receiver.โ€

โ€œHe took time to talk about my study program as well and sent me everything I needed to know about Concordia’s Mechanical Engineering program. I did my researches on the program by asking a couple of friends that are currently at Concordia and it became evident that Concordia was the best fit for me, for both football and studies.โ€ย  When the team hired Coach Donovan, it only added to my desire to join this team, as my brother was coached by Pat (Donovan) at McGill and he only had positive stuff to tell me about him.ย I think it’s a pretty good choice. โ€

Aubry recently completed a stint with CEGEP Division 3 team, Launadiere Triades.ย  This past season, the slotback racked up 248 yards on 21 catches and scored a touchdown.
