Scott started playing five years ago with Regina Minor Football. Ā After two seasons with RMF, he moved on to play for Luther College Lions of the Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL).

In 2014, he was named Ā RIFL Stewart Conference 3A All-Star at both the quarterback and punter positions as he led the Lions to the City Championship.

ā€œMy highlight from last season is when we won the 3A city championship in Regina,” adds Scott. “It was a great honour to win the champion in my grade 12 year and it was also great to win it with my friends and teammates.ā€

ā€œI am a very good team player, and I always put my teamā€™s success before my own individual success.ā€

During the offseason, Scott is staying in shape while trying to achieve specific training goals.

ā€œRight now I am playing basketball, but I am trying to get in the gym as much as possible doing all-around strength and conditioning workouts,” says the Lions standout. Ā ā€œOverall I am trying to get stronger both mentally and physically.”

“I also plan on working on my footwork and individual skills in both Punting and at Quarterback.”

Scott has enjoyed success thanks to the help of several people/

ā€œThe most influential people in my life are my father and grandfather,” says Scott. Ā “They have both taught me a lot about respecting the sport and teaching me how to be successful.”

“The most influential football figure I have is Jon Ryan because heā€™s a small town Canadian kid who made it big in the NFL.ā€

As for future plans, Scott has some goals.

ā€œI plan on getting a degree in Kinesiology and then getting my Masters in Physical Therapy,” says the Lions pivot. Ā “I plan on being a physical therapist.ā€

Currently, Scott is considering the Regina Rams. Ā Also, he is interested in the Regina Thunder of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) of the Canadian Junior Football Conference (CJFL).
