NFC: Second-year Invaders shock undefeated Titans for birth in final

The second year Ottawa Invaders are off to their first Northern Football Conference title game next weekend after defeating the previously undefeated Toronto Titans. The Invaders will now face the Tri-City outlaws in Waterloo, Ont., next Saturday in the league’s championship game.

History has been made in the N.F.C. semi finals as neither the first or second place team will be in the final for the first time in League history. The 3rd and 4th seeded road teams turned the trick as the Tri City Outlaws handed the Sault Ste. Marie Steelers their first home playoff loss since 2006 to reach the final for the fifth consecutive year. The second year Ottawa Invaders reached their first ever N.F.C. title game with Kyle Kavanaugh scampering in from 5 yards out and Jeff Morris adding the point after with 11 ticks left in regulation.
