Northern Ontario boy going south, commits to Laurier

Laurier brings in their eighth commit.

Sometimes, you should go with your gut feeling when making a decision. Dylan Dale, a linebacker from West Ferris Secondary School, let his instincts and feelings guide him when he decided to commit to the Laurier Golden Hawks.

“Choosing Laurier just felt right. How could I go wrong with the Yates Cup champions and the U Sports coach of the year? I love the campus, the beyond welcoming coaching staff and players. It seems like the entire school is a family,” Dale said.

“The coaching staff have proven to be successful. Not only that, but they also seem to be very genuine in their willingness to develop each athlete,” the product of North Bay added.

In his career, the 6’2, 210lbs football player has played with the West Ferris Trojans (Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics) for five years and two years with the Nipissing Wild (Ontario Football Conference). He was also a member of the #CFCFPC Team Central Varsity squad. In 2014 and 2016, he won two high school city championships (Nipissing District Athletics). He was also the league defensive MVP for this season. When he attends university, he is considering going into psychology or another social science program.
