Notre Dame Jugglers promote Richard Scott to Head Coach of Senior Varsity Club

BC High School Football’s Notre Dame Jugglers have gone within in their search to replace the legendary George Oswald as the new head coach of the Jugglers’ Senior Varsity team officially promoting Richard Scott to the role on Thursday.

Scott, who becomes just the fifth head football coach in the 56-year history of the Jugglers program, previously served as the Jugglers’ Junior Varsity head coach for the past 17 years. In his junior coaching career with the Jugglers, Scott captured two provincial titles (1995 & 1997) and compiled an overall record of 107 wins and 69 losses. He was also a member of the coaching staff for the Jugglers’ Senior Provincial championship team in 1993.

Prior to joining Notre Dame, Scott was an assistant coach on the 1991 Vancouver College Fighting Irish Senior Provincial Championship team. He also served on the coaching staff with Football BC’s provincial under-19 team from 1994 to 1998.

Scott is a graduate of Handsworth Secondary in North Vancouver and played college football with the Simon Fraser University Clan from 1986 to 1990.
