Both maritime provinces open their high school schedules this weekend. Nova Scotia opens today with games featuring Avon View visiting Central Kings and Lockview visiting CP Allen. New Brunswick opens its season Friday with a full slate of games in both the 12-man and 10-man divisions.
Citadel puts their 25 game winning streak on the line (have not loss since October 2008) against Dartmouth high school on Saturday. A’dre Fraser leads an offense that lost QB Jesse Mills who will be starting for St. Mary’s tomorrow against Mount Allison.
In New Brunswick it is a rematch of last years final when the Fredericton Black Kats host the Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders. Fredericton won the final last season by a score of 15 to 14. MacNaughton returns 18 players from last years squad.
