This year the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation (NSSAF) re-structured the football league completely. The league was broken up into 2 divisions this year. Division 1 was made up of the top 14 teams, and split into 2 conferences. Division 2 was made up of the 6 smaller schools in the province.

Central Kings (1) 21
NEKEC (0)
Central Kings are the Champions of the Nova Scotia Division 2 title. Having won against NKEC this past weekend 21-0, many on the team felt that they were going to have this end result from the very start of the season. According to the Kings County News, Central Kings will be losing 13 players as they graduate, many of them on the defensive line. NKEC, who ended with a 7-3 record, is also in the same boat, though, as they will graduate 11 players as well. Northeast Kings had numerous chances to score, but could not capitalize when they needed to most. All of NKEC’s team losses were to Central Kings, so this rivalry is very real. Overall, both teams had a great season’s and we are excited to see who comes out on top next year. Congratulations!
