OBIT: Cathedral’s Coach John McPhee passes

Legendary coach, John McPhee, for Cathedral High School passed away on Jan.18 at the age of 90.

McPhee was the head of the Phys. Ed department and senior coach from 1961 to 1969 where they made the playoffs 7 out of 9 seasons. His overall record was 64 victories, 14 losses, and 4 ties. 

After a hiatus at vice-principal at Cathedral for two years, he returned as senior head coach in 1972. After he retired he coached again in 1991, 1992, and 1993.

Coach McPhee was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Cathedral in 2008.
