OFC: Beefeaters announce new Head Coach

The London Beefeaters are pleased to announce that Beefeater alumnus Rob Annen has accepted the position of Head Coach for the 2015 season.

He will be the 16th Beefeater Head Coach in the team’s 40 year history.

Annen has a long association with football and especially the Beefeaters. Rob was the 1988 Ontario Football Conference (OFC) Defensive Rookie of the Year and an All-Star as a defensive lineman.

Annen has been a position coach with the Beefeaters since 2009 working on the defensive side of the ball. In addition, he has coached at the high school level at Parkside Collegiate in his hometown of St. Thomas.

Additonally, he has also been involved with football at the executive level. For a number of years he has served as the treasurer of the OFC.

Annen’s wife, Jennifer, is actively involved with the Beefs as co-chair of the 40th Anniversary Committee while their son Tyler has been an outstanding player for the Beefeaters for the last five years and their other son, Zach, plays for the Carleton Ravens’ football team.

Joining Annen on the coaching staff at this point are Defensive Coordinator Tim Thomson, Defensive Line Coach Rob Varallo and Running Back Coach Darren Isaac.

The rest of the 2015 coaching staff will be announced in the near future.
