OFC coaches asked who they would want to face in the playoffs

TT – With four teams tied and two games remaining, “who would you prefer to meet in the
semi finals and why?” and “who would you prefer not to meet in the semi finals and why?”

I still wouldn’t count out Windsor in this whole thing. They won a game they had to, last weekend. If they keep there focus we could see them in the playoffs. It really comes down to which teams can play at their highest level the rest of the way.
Every team has shown weakness and strength. We control our ranking the worst we can finish is second if we win out. There is no team I would prefer not to play. A team I do want to see again however is Ottawa. We showed up to there house with a dismal performance and effort. If we win the OFC I would like to say we beat every team this year.

Well at this point my answer is we haven’t yet played Hamilton this season and with all the
teams at the top of the conference each team is able to beat any team on any given day. The key is to make the playoffs with the best possible ranking as home field advantage is proving to be a winning formula for all these teams.
The team you probably don’t want to meet is the team that is on a roll say has won their last 2 games going into the playoffs. As well the look of the teams from early in the season to now has changed significantly as many players were added at the signing deadline. Should be quite the race to the finish line.

I am being honest; the Sooners are looking no further than London, this week. We know London is treating this game as a playoff game as are we. There are too many permutations for us to worry about who we play and where we will finish. We are concentrating on ourselves and making ourselves better down the stretch run. We know if we are fortunate to make the playoffs, who ever we play they will be very competitive and ready to play. You know what they say when you “assume”

Our team has not even discussed the playoff seeding yet. With a tough end of the season upcoming we can still finish anywhere from 1st to 6th place.
Our focus is getting the 5th victory to clinch a playoff spot and then worry about which opponent falls our way. The talent across the league is pretty balanced. Avoiding injuries and playing your best now will help teams win the OFC crown.

Brad Winder London Beefeaters
Head Coach

TT – After your victory over Hamilton I assumed the Beefs would come out firing on all cylinders
Saturday in Windsor. Honestly neither team played very well, what happened to the Beefs?

It was a game either team could have won until the fourth quarter. We want to go and finish the season on a positive note. We are down but we will be ready for Ottawa.

Mike Lachance Windsor AKO Fratmen
Head Coach

TT – The Frat needed the win to have any chance for a playoff spot. You have
Brampton at home, then on the road to Hamilton and Burlington. Brampton has held their own for the most part and the other two are in the log jam at the top. Can the Frat win all three? Or will 2 wins be enough?

Brampton is a good and very physical football team. They have been impressive even though they have not come out with a “W” yet this season. They have stuck around games and been in them to the end. They pose a difficult challenge because they do things much differently than the other OFC teams that are running variations of a spread offense. The Bears run the football and do so out of a much different look than any team in recent memory. To make matters worse they have a dynamic WR to contend with.
Even though it may seem clichΓ© we are not looking past Brampton. We need to win at home this week and take each game as they come. I think that any team in our league can go on a run and win out. I feel that we could be in a much better position today if we would not have made so many unforced errors a few weeks ago vs Hamilton and Ottawa. But we have put ourselves in this position and need to buckle down and work our way back into the playoff chase. Who knows if 4-4 will be enough to get us in…..it wasn’t last year.

Mark Houlder Brampton Bears
Head Coach

TT – With 3 games left in your inaugural season and even though the Bears have held their own
can you break the goose egg and maybe spoil someone else’s season?

Getting our first win will be difficult. We seem to bring out the best in our opponent. No one wants to be the first to lose to the Bears, and we understand that. Every day we get better and we look forward to our next game against a good Windsor team. If we minimize our mistakes and penalties, we feel that we have an opportunity to break that goose egg. Windsor will be yet another test. If we stop the run, we have a chance and maybe a chance to play spoiler. For now we take it one step at a time, one game at a time.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
