OFC Players of the Week 5: Hackney, Dadzie, Lambert


Offensive: #8 Christian Hackney – QB – Windsor AKO Fratmen

15 of 25 for 295 yards, 5 TD, in a victory over the Twin Cities Predators

Christian Hackney, 2nd Year, QB out of Sandwich SS in La Salle, had a career day completing 15 of 25 passes for 295 yards and 5 touchdowns, helping raise his league leading pass efficiency to 119.6.

The former Sabre completed passes to 7 different receivers, including touchdown strikes to Shayne Rice, Robb Matton, Joel Archer, and 2 to Beau Lumley. Christian will help lead the undefeated Fratmen on Saturday versus the Brampton Bears. Game time is set for 7:30 pm at Ching Park.

Defensive: #42 Micheal Dadzie – LB – Brampton Bears

7 Solo Tackles, 2 Assists, 1 QB Sack, 19 Total Def. Points, in a loss to the Burlington Braves

Micheal Dadzie, LB, St. Thomas Aquinas SS, had a superb game in a losing effort versus the Burlington Braves. Micheal had 7 solos, and 2 assisted tackles to go along with a QB sack for the Bears. The St. Thomas Aquinas grad is currently 5th in the league in solo tackles (19) and 8th overall in Defensive Points with 53. Micheal will help lead a young Bears defense in their quest to knock off the undefeated Windsor AKO Fratmen. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm at Ching Park.

Special Teams: #41 Ryan Lambert – K – Burlington Braves

8 Kick-offs for 390 yards, 5-5 on PAT’s, 1 single in a victory over the Brampton Bears

Ryan Lambert, Kicker, had a terrific day pinning the Brampton Bears deep in their own territory with 8 kick-offs for 390 yards. Ryan converted all 5 of his PAT’s, and had the game-winning point on his opening kick-off single. Lambert and the Braves will look to stay in the hunt for a play-off spot when they travel to St. Leonard on Saturday to play the Cougars. Game time is set for 7pm at Stade Hebert.
