OFC Players of the Week – Week Two

Offensive: #9 Keaton Jones – RB – Twin Cities Predators

18 carries for 75 yards and 2 TD’s, in 30-0 win over Brampton Bears Keaton Jones, 1st Year, 6’2” 215 lbs, returned home from a year with the University of Calgary Dinos, to lead the Predators to their 1st ever victory in the OFC.

The Sir John A. MacDonald SS grad, carried the ball 18 times for 75 yards and a pair of majors, as Twin Cities evened their record at 1-1. Keaton is currently tied with two others for the scoring lead in the OFC with 18 points (3 TD’s). Keaton and the Predators travel to Hamilton, where they will look to knock off the undefeated Hurricanes on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm at Ivor Wynne Stadium.


Defensive: #51 John Hornby – DB – Hamilton Hurricanes

6 total tackles, 5 solo & 1 assist, 1 Interception returned 30 yards for a TD, 17 Total Def. Points, in 42-7 win over Burlington Braves John Hornby, 1st Year, has helped lead the 2-0 Hamilton Hurricane defense, that has only surrendered 14 points in 2 games. Friday night, John led the Hurricanes with 6 tackles, including 5 solos, and an interception that he returned 30
yards for a touchdown. The reigning OFC champions will look to remain perfect when they welcome in newcomers, the 1-1 Twin Cities Predators to Ivor Wynne Stadium on Saturday for a 1:00 pm kickoff.


Special Teams: #15 Jamal George – FS – Hamilton Hurricanes

K/O Returns: 1 for 72 yds, Punt Returns: 1 for 34 yds, in 42-7 win over Burlington Braves
Jamal George, 3rd Year, may have only had 2 statistical touches, but was electrifying on both occasions returning a kickoff 72 yards and a punt 34 yards. The Hamilton Ti-cats training camp invitee currently leads the OFC in punt return average with 39.5 yards per return. Jamal and the Hurricanes will look to remain perfect when they welcome in newcomers, the 1-1 Twin Cities Predators to Ivor Wynne Stadium on Saturday for a 1:00 pm kickoff.
