Now that everyone is in the offseason, it’s important to start thinking about next year to get better. On top of getting bigger, faster and stronger this offseason, you should remember to become a more complete player as well. One of the best and easiest ways to do this is to play another sport in the offseason. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t train in the weightroom. You should still train 2-3 days a week to work on your physical abilities. Regardless of how many sports you’re playing through the year, you should train two days a week to be constantly getting stronger. The one challenge of playing other sports is that you’ll need to be committed and organized to get your workouts in during the seasons. Here are some reasons to play another sport during your time away from the gridiron.
