Caleb Gagne from Asquith, Saskatchewan was convinced by his friends to try Peewee football. Now when he steps onto the field for a game he thinks about executing his plays and what he can to do help the team.

Football has given Gagne so many great relationships and opportunities. He thinks playing on the offensive line is great because all five players are working together to do the same job. “We are the only position in any sport where our main purpose is to protect others,” he states.

He has played with so many great people over his time. They have created great friendships and he has made a bond that has become inseparable.

Aside from football, the Delisle Rebels Lineman of the Year has a passion for basketball as he has played for a long time now. He also recently participated in the the CFC Prospect Game Tryout and Showcase in Moose Jaw and looks forward to any opportunities he may receive.

Delisle’s standout is hoping to follow some of his past teammates to a university and keep the team bond they have developed over the years. To impress recruiters, Gagne has been trying to improve his strength, IQ, and speed. He sets up extra time for himself to go through plays, he will also go through his film and his opponent’s film to grasp an understanding of what to expect.

Throughout the years, Gagne has had many wonderful coaches that have shaped his career to where it is today. “I think a big one is Bryan Boys who kept me in football and pushed me to become better,” he says. He would like recruiters to know that he is very coachable.

“Tell me what you need done and I will do my best to achieve it.”
