Brock started as an offensive guard in his sophomore season and won team Offensive Lineman of the Year. This year, Gutowski earned a starting spot on the Team Manitoba U18 team.

Brock hasn’t made any decisions about his football future, he mentioned, “I am comfortable leaving home but it would be nice to stay home and play in front of my family and friends.”

Head coach of the Sturgeon Height Huskies Eric Vincent has had an influence towards his star lineman, Brock explained, “My head coach has played a big role in the player and person I am today.”

Gutowski also looks up to retired Baltimore Raven, Ray Lewis. “His dedication to the game combined with his intensity and leadership influenced me to stay with football” added Brock.

In university Brock would like to get a degree in kinesiology and become a physiotherapist.

When he’s not on the gridiron, Brock enjoys wrestling, and he has earned a silver medal at the provincial level.

Brock has had a handful of schools that are interested in him and he’s been enjoying recruiting. “The recruitment process has been good, I have gotten contacted by Ottawa, McMaster, McGill, University of Manitoba, and St Francis Xavier,” added Gutowski.

There haven’t been any recent plans to visit colleges. Brock is going to visit colleges next year.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
