OL/DL Pearson adds strength to the line

Justin Pearson has an accredited amount of previous football playing history. Starting with the Sherwood Park Rams, and then moving onwards to some strong teams like Team Alberta U16 and this winter with the Currents Stars Team in the ABC Bowl has helped Justin to find his strength on the field. Currently playing with the Salisbury Composite High School, Justin has given himself the ability to solidify his place among the defensive and offensive lines, even with winning the Rookie award in Grade 10.

Impact is everything and one person that impacts Justin’s life the most is his mother. β€œShe is always there for me and giving me advice.” The impact of his mother’s support reflects as to how this young man affronts his life on the field. β€œMy highlight last year was winning our final game of the year for our seniors even though we did not make it to the playoffs it felt good.”

Justin also takes the time to mention the most influential person on the field; β€œCoach Dan Syrotuik has taught me almost everything I know about the D-line.” With this power of knowledge and support behind him, Justin has the ability to achieve all types of success. Not just on the football field, Justin also plays rugby with the Sabres and he has also played Lacrosse in the past. It may all be on a field of some sort, but it is all relative to the sport of football.

Although the future seems like is it quite far off, the planning has begun on Justin’s part. Β He would like to study Kinesiology and eventually focus on becoming a Physiotherapist and this is where he will make his decision as to where he will attend Post-Secondary. β€œI am looking into schools that have the programs I want and getting in contact with them.” With no current offers and no planned visits, Justin is just taking the time he needs to know where he will go to complete his goals and play football.

Justin is in the gym every day in the off season working with an athletic therapist and during the regular season he does his best to get into the school gym where he can focus on work out on his maintenance. β€œTo improve this season I was working hard in the gym and getting together with my team to bond.” Some may consider the training is only a physical process but it is a mental process too, and like mentioned above; it is the semantics of a good heart with your team that will make the losses bearable and the wins gratifying.
