Chad Turcotte began playing football at the bantam level where he was named Most Valuable Player. He then got his first try at varsity football in his sophomore year, when he was the starting tailback for the Odyssée Olympiens of the New Brunswick High School Football League (NBHSFL).

In July 2013, Chad represented his home province as a member of Team New Brunswick at Football Canada Cup 2013, where he improved his game significantly.

“The tournament really helped me develop my skills,” states Chad. “I highly recommend it to all young football players out there.”

Chad put those skills to use in the fall, where he led the Olympiens to their first ever Championship berth. While the team came up short in the game, Chad was named Player of the Game and was selected as a NBHSFL All-Star team as well as the league’s 10-Man MVP.

As for the recruitment process, Chad is looking to keep his options open while focusing on the upcoming fall season,.

“I still have one more year of high school football,” comments running back. “And this time, I’m looking to go all the way!”

In the offseason, Chad continues to stay in shape and stay sharp by hitting the gym harder than ever, knowing that he has one more shot at a provincial title.

“We played a great regular season but gave up when it matters most,” states Chad.  “It won’t happen this year though, I can tell with everyone’s attitude we’re going to bring it home.”
