Outstanding Offensive Player of the Week

Troy Croonen – Runningback – Hamilton Hurricanes


Troy has been awarded the offensive award this week for his outstanding play in the Canes 24-3 victory over the visiting Brampton Bears.

The 5’11” 170 pounder had 12 touches for 178 total yards. Included were 9 rushes for 80 yards and a touchdown, His longest carry was 19 yards. He caught 3 passes for 98 yards and another TD. His longest pass and run went for 62 yards.


Outstanding Defensive Player of the Week


Yann Jourdain – Defensiveback – St Leonard Cougars


Yann collected the defensive award for his outstanding play in the Cougars 37-15 home field victory over the Windsor AKO Fratmen. The 5’11” 185 pounder’s 19 defensive points included 3 solo tackles, one assisted tackle, a blocked kick and 2 interceptions he returned for a total of 27 yards.




Outstanding Special Teams Player of the Week
Julian Hooker – Kicker – Hamilton Hurricanes


Julian captured the special teams award as Hamilton defeated the visiting Brampton Bears 24-3. The 5’10” 205 pounder was good on all 3 conversion attempts as well as booting a 32 yard field goal. His 6 punts for 184 yards and 5 kick offs for another 253 yards kept the Bears away from the Canes goal line.
