Outstanding Offensive Player of the Week

Kyle Woldenberg-Puyda – Runningback – London Beefeaters

Kyle earned his second offensive award of 2010 as the Beefs defeated the visiting Brampton Bears 19-16. The 5’9” 178 pound rookie rushed for 308 yards on 40 carries.

Both Beefeater team records and the latter an OFC record. The St Thomas St Joseph’s grad averaged an outstanding 7.7 yards per carry with his longest romp being 29 yards.




Outstanding Defensive Player of the Week

Rob Varallo – Linebacker – London Beefeaters

Rob was awarded the defensive award this week for his play in the Beefeaters 19-16 victory over the visiting Brampton Bears. The London Mother Teresa grad collected 21 defensive points. The 6’4” 255 pound veteran was credited with 4 solo tackles, 5 assisted tackles, a blocked kick and a fumble recovery. He also had a special teams tackle and 2 assists.



Outstanding Special Teams Player of the Week

Carmine Gentile – Kicker – London Beefeaters

Carmine has earned his second special teams award as he scored 11 points in the Beefs 19-16 victory over the visiting Brampton Bears. The London Catholic Central grad connected on 3 of his 5 field goal attempts and scored a single on a 40 yard miscue. The six foot, 180 pound rookie converted London’s only touchdown. He also punted 6 times for 245 yards and his 2 kickoffs travelled 79 yards.
