The Nelson Lords defeated the Mother Teresa Spartans 24-10 infront of a packed Stadium on Friday afternoon. Nelson got touchdowns from Doug Corby, Josh Vandeweerd and Ben Megarry.
Megarry’s touchdown came on an electrifying 70 yard connnection with Will Finch that sent the crowd into a frenzy. Victor Fasullo added a field goal and three converts. Trey Menard replied late for the Spartans with Brent Anderson adding a field goal. Nelson will now reload for the 2011 Season Opener versus the Corpus Christi Longhorns.
