The Falcons gave the Crusaders all they could handle in the first half before injuries to key players derailed their chance at victory. Against a tough Crusader defense that had not given up a point the entire season, the offense came out gunning.
Shayne Allard capped a long drive with a 2 yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Andrew Rose scored on a 27 yard pass from Trevor Metcalf just before the half to pull the team within one score. The defense played hard but was victimized by Crusader runningback S.N. Elad, who ran for over 150 yards and 4 touchdowns. Shayne Allard led the way with 8 tackles, while Blake Armstrong and Jeremy Miller added fumble recoveries. Erik Dominey continued to be a menace on special teams, with a couple of big hits on kickoff return.
