Ontario Prospect Challenge profile: Ashford prepares for combine experience

Today CFC features Ontario Prospect Challenge participant Braedon Ashford.

Position: Offensive lineman

Height/Weight: 6’1″/240 lbs

School Status as of September 2013: Grade 10

Current Team(s): Saltfleet HS

The Ontario Prospect Challenge is almost half way through, and so far many of Ontario’s best players have come out to show off their skills in front of experienced coaches and trainers. Braedon Ashford is a junior varsity offensive lineman, and he has decided to participate in the OPC.

Since starting his football career eight years ago, Ashford has won a house league football championship for the NFMFA Therold Warriors and the COMFL AA Championship with the Hamilton Junior Ticats.

“My goals for this challenge to is to learn more about my position and get better at that position,” Says Ashford. “I have chosen to participate in the Ontario Prospect Challenge to get know to scouts and schools and to get experience in the combine area.”

“My goals for the future is to attend a university and play CIS football  or higher.”

Tryouts (Phase 1) for the Ontario Prospect Challenge began September 21st.  A ‘one-time’ tryout fee allows you to compete in as many tryouts as you wish.   CLICK HERE for registration information.
