The Ontario Prospect Challenge is entering week four and the competition is getting fierce. Many of Ontario’s best players have already come out and shown their skill on the field in front of some of Canada’s best coaches. Quarterback Alex Douglas is eager to take on the challenge and add to his already successful football career.

Since starting his football career seven years ago, Douglas has won championships with teams not only in Canada, but south of the border as well. “Football is my passion,” Says Douglas. “Football has given me the opportunity to build new friendships all over North America.”

“My goal for OPC is to learn from the coaching staff and if I get my shot make it count!”

The future is bright for this young football standout, but he knows that he still has a ways to go before playing at the university level. “Down the road I would like to have the skill set to compete at the college or university level”, Says Douglas. “It’s a long road ahead with a lot of work to do but I just entered grade 10 last month so time is on my side.”

Douglas has already attended one OPC tryout and is excited to get back on the field. “The OPC challenge is another great chance to develop friendships and work with great coaches. The first try out was a blast, I learned a lot in a couple of hours from Coach Larry, and I’m looking forward to London.

Tryouts (Phase 1) for the Ontario Prospect Challenge begin September 21st.  A ‘one-time’ tryout fee allows you to compete in as many tryouts as you wish.   CLICK HERE for registration information.
