Oscar Reddecop is currently doing his victory lap and has played for his high schools’ team, the Glendale Gemini of the Thames Valley Region Athletic Association (TVRAA) for the past five years.

The linebacker also played for the Forest City Thunderbirds in the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) this past summer.

The Gemini’s offseason consists of strength and power training, as well as agility work.

“I love to play football because of the adrenaline and the challenge that football brings,” says Reddecop. “I like the pressure of having to make a play in a tight situation.”

The linebacker hopes to make it as far as he can in the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC), play at a higher level than he is capable of and gain recognition from CIS teams.

One of the Gemini’s goals for this year is to make the CFC 100 list.

“… [I]t would be exciting to be on that list with other great players in Canada.”
