Ontario Prospect Challenge profile: Palmateer plans on ‘getting better’

Today CFC features Ontario Prospect Challenge participant Caleb Palmateer.

Height/Weight: 6’1″/233lbs

School status as of September 2013: Grade 10

Current Team(s): Peterborough Wolverines (OFC), Crestwood Mustangs

The Ontario Prospect Challenge is calling for Ontario’s best football players and young Peterborough Wolverine, Caleb Palmateer is ready. “I chose to participate in the prospect Challenge so I can get better as a player and get more reps against top players,” Says Palmateer. “I plan to make the team and make it in the top 100.”

Palmateer has been playing football for four years now and “has loved every minute of it.” He hopes to continue his career in university, but knows that such opportunities do not come easy. “My plans are to get better everyday in the classroom , the weight room and on the field,” Says Palmateer. “Also, I’m planning on getting better to get a opportunity to play in the CIS.”

The Ontario Prospect Challenge is an excellent opportunity for players like Palmateer who are focused on continuing their careers to the post-secondary level. Some of Canada’s best coaches will be there to evaluate and train all those who are committed to football.

“Football is what I love to do, and I want to do it for a very long time,” concludes Palmateer.
