Kaed Tymchuk started his football career with the Renfrew Raiders of the Upper Canada Valley High School Athletic Association (UOVHSAA), where he played for three years as a cornerback.

This year, Tymchuk moved to Toronto and played his fourth year of high school football as an outside linebacker with the Central Technical Blues of the Toronto District Secondary School Athletic Association (TDSSAA).

During the offseason, the Blues standout dedicates a lot of time to weight training as well as playing other sports such as basketball and soccer to help with conditioning.

This offseason, he hopes to play his first season in the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) OVFL.  Also, he is also entering the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) for the first time with great ambitions.

“My goals for the OPC are to make the team, get good playing time and showcase my ability,” said Tymchuk.

The outside linebacker also hopes to find his name on the CFC 100 list in his graduating year.

Overall, he is passionate about playing the game.

“I love to play football because it is a sport like no other,” explained the Blue. “Football players can come in all shapes and sizes, it doesn’t matter if you are the biggest kid or the smallest kid, there is a position for you in football.”
