Hunter Hendire grew up watching his older brother play for the Ontario Football Conference’s (OFC) Sarnia Sturgeons before joining the team himself at the age of nine.

Football has always been a part of the quarterback’s life, and he has been personally involved in the sport for seven years.

The Sturgeon spends his offseason playing other sports, including basketball, or throwing around a football.

“My goal for the OPC (Ontario Prospect Challenge) is to make the team which is going to give me the opportunity to gain some experience at this level,” says Hendire. “I would like to learn as much as I can from the experience the coaching staff is bringing.”

He sees the CFC 100 list as a large accomplishment and something that he would proud of in his graduating year of 2020.

“It is the greatest game on earth,” expressed the Sturgeon. “It is the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I remember before I go to sleep.”
