Bryce Kieffer’s love for football began when he started playing peewee in the Niagara Regional Minor Football Association (NRMFA) with the Smithville Falcons.

Kieffer continued to play in the NRMFA for two more seasons, and captured the title of league champions each season.

The defensive back also plays for his high school team the Blessed Trinity Catholic Thunder of the Niagara Region High School Athletic Association (NRHSAA). The Thunder won the district championship in 2011 and 2012, which also brought the team to finals at the Junior Metro Bowl.

In 2013 the Thunder also played in the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) with the Niagara Spears’ varsity team.

More recently, Kieffer played with the Niagara Storm in the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) and is currently playing defensive back and slotback for the Thunder.

Moreover, the Thunder trains with coaches and teammates as well as at the gym on a regular basis in order to keep in top condition for both the spring and fall seasons.

“I also dedicate time to study my playbooks to be fully prepared as I find that equally as important as being in top physical condition,” says Kieffer, whose goal is to make the CFC 100 list in his graduating year.

“My goal for the OPC [Ontario Prospect Challenge] is to challenge myself by competing with the best players in Ontario, as well as the opportunity to be coached by top football coaches in Ontario,” said the Thunder. “I also look forward to the opportunity to showcase my skills at this level.”

Kieffer considers himself to be aggressively passionate about winning and helping his team be the best that they can be.

“My love for the game stems from football being a true team sport. Football is family.”
