Ontario Prospect Challenge Top 100 Profile: Drew makes the cut

Today CFC features Ontario Prospect Challenge participant Connor Drew. Connor  is one of 600 players who will be participating in the TOP 100 CAMPS in April.

Position: Fullback

Height/Weight: 5’10″/160 lbs

School Status as of September 2013: Grade 10

Current Team(s): McDonald Black Scots/ Scarborough Thunder

The Ontario Prospect Challenge tryouts have come and gone, and many of Ontario’s best and brightest came out to compete. Connor Drew shined in front of coaches and has been selected to the OPC Top 100 list.

“I have the drive and potential to maybe make the team. Even if I don’t make the cut, the extra training I get with the training days is helping me in my game. I am lucky to be able to get that kind of chance,” says Drew. “My goals are to be selected for the OPC Prospects. My main goal would be to play in the CFL one day as  a Fullback. I love football and plan to play for a long time.”

Many are excited to see Drew perform at the Top 100 combine coming in the spring.

Tryouts (Phase 1) for the Ontario Prospect Challenge completed in 2013.  April TOP 100 Camps & May Game has been scheduled.
