Ontario Prospect Challenge TOP 100 Profile: Lewis builds on success

Today CFC features Ontario Prospect Challenge participant Sam Lewis.Β Sam isΒ one of 600 players who will be participating in the TOP 100 CAMPS in April.

Position: Receiver

Height/Weight: 5’11″/170 lbs

School Status as of September 2013: Grade 12

Current Team(s): Burlington Stampeders, Nelson Lords

The Ontario Prospect Challenge has finished their tryouts, and now many are eager to play in the OPC Top 100 game. Sam Lewis saw a great chance to not only improve his game, but also show off his skills in front of some of the best players and coaches Ontario has to offer.

“I chose this because I always try to push myself to do better and I wanted to benefit from the opportunity, and i enjoy the chances to participate inΒ all-starΒ games to get recognition from university coaches”, says Lewis.

Lewis has had his fair share of success on the gridiron. “As a member of the Burlington Stampeders, I have been a part of three OFC championship teams over the past four years”, says Lewis. “Last year, as a member of the Varsity Stampeders, I was one of the team’s top receivers. In grade 9 I was also a part of the Nelson Lords Jr football team that won the Tier 1 Halton championship, and the Jr Metro Bowl.”

Tryouts (Phase 1) for the Ontario Prospect Challenge completed in 2013.Β  April TOP 100 Camps & May Game has been scheduled.
