Stittsville wide receiver joins RSEQ team’s 2015 class.
Kiell Barrie is moving provinces to begin his CIS career.
Recently, the 5ā11, 190 pound wide receiver from Stittsville, Ontario signed with Bishopās Gaiters.Ā Barrie will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.
āI wanted to go to Bishopās mainly because of the small school atmosphere and I’ve heard many good things about their business program,ā explained Barrie of his decision.Ā āFor the football team, Iāve heard they like to pass so of course being a receiver that appealed to me.ā
Among the teams Barrie has suited up for during his gridiron career include Ottawa Myers Riders of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and Bel-Air Norsemen of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).
This past season with the Norsemen, the receiver racked up 550 yards on 28 receptions.Ā Moreover, Barrie was selected as a NCAFA All-Star in 2014.
