Opportunities await for CEGEP recruit with Carabins

CEGEP fullback joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class.

Antoine Demers will play at the CIS level in his home province.

Recently, the 5’11, 225 pound fullback from Levis, Quebec has committed to the Montreal Carabins.  Demers will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

“I’ve decided to go to Montreal for many factors,” explained Demers of his decision.  “They use fullbacks a lot in their offensive system.”

“ I also decided to go there because I have opportunities to play in my first year on special teams and on offence. I have to work for it but I know I can make an impact in my first year. The facts that the Carabins are a great football program, that can win each week, also have an impact on my choice of university.”

Additionally, academics played an important role in the fullback’s decision.

“I also decided to go there for their criminology program. This is a program that has always interested me and Montreal represents a very good institution in this domain. I think Montreal is the best fit for me, school and football wise.”

This fall, Demers is completing his final season with CEGEP Division 1 team, Limoilou Titans.
