Oshawa recruit felt connection with Stingers

Oshawa linebacker signs with RSEQ team.

Drue Moore will be moving provinces to commence his CIS career.

Prior to the CIS Blackout, the 6’2, 215 pound linebacker from Oshawa, Ontario signed with the Concordia Stingers.  Moore will join the Stingers for the 2015 RSEQ season.

“The reason why I committed is because Coach Mick [Mickey Donovan] and his brother [Pat Donovan] are great guys and amazing coaches,” explained Moore of his decision.  “They are totally changing this program around in a positive way!”

“I felt a good connection with Mick because he was also a linebacker at Concordia University. Secondly, the guys on the team – I’ve been to a lot of recruiting trips and they are nothing I can compare to when it come to the brotherhood on this team. Everyone has respect for each other and also they will help you with anything when you need it!  Also, I want to become one of the best.  Why not play against the best? The RSEQ league is the top league for football.”

Recently, the linebacker completed his high school career with Paul Dwyer Saints of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (LOSSAA).  In addition to the Saints, Moore previously suited up for the Oshawa Hawkeyes of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
