Oshawa recruit wants to help Mounties achieve future success

Oshawa defensive back joins AUS team’s 2016 class.

Terrell Connellā€™s next gridiron destination is Sackville, New Brunswick.

Last week, the 5ā€™10 155 pound defensive back from Oshawa, Ontario committed to Mount Allison Mounties.Ā  Connell will join the team for the 2016 AUS season.

Ultimately, the size of the school and the opportunity to contribute to a program that already is known for excellence on the field were the main reasons Connell opted for the Mounties.

ā€œThe reasons behind choosing mount Allison were it being a smaller class setting so there are more interactions with the professor as opposed to hundreds of students being in one room,ā€ elaborated the Ontario defensive standout.Ā  ā€œThe continuous support of the coaches of the football team; I liked hearing how the team is very close and help each other out a lot.ā€

ā€œThe team has been very successful in the past couple of years and I think I could help out with that success in the future.ā€
