OUA Recruiting Wrap: Guelph signs Ottawa transfer, Ottawa, Waterloo and York make more final recruiting pushes

OL Julian Iamundo

Julian Iamundo is the University of Guelph Gryphons’ third transfer of the season.

Iamundo is a 6’3″, 300 lb offensive lineman transferring from the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees after three years. He is originally from Hamilton, Ont., where he played for Frank J. Hayden High School.

OL Nicholas Gauthier

Nicholas Gauthier is one of 13 Quebec products who have committed to the Gee-Gees.

Gauthier is a 6’2″, 275 lb offensive lineman from Sherbrooke, Que., where he played for CEGEP de Sherbrooke.

 

LB Brandon Holmes

Brandon Holmes is the fifth to join Ottawa’s new linebacker corps.

Holmes is a 6’0″, 210 lb linebacker from Dundas, Ont., where he played for St. Mary’s Catholic Secondary School.

 

Waterloo Warriors

REC Marcus Hoegl

Marcus Hoegl is the University of Waterloo Warriors’ most recent commit.

Hoegl played receiver for Frank Hayden Secondary School in Burlington, Ont..

 

York Lions

RB Steven Akintokun

Steven Akintokun will travel from Manitoba to play for the York University Lions this fall.

Akintokun is a 6’1″, 175 lb running back for Dakota Collegiate in Winnipeg, Man..

 

QB Kobe Buraconak

Kobe Buraconak will be staying close to home this September, committing to the Lions.

Buraconak is a 5’11”, 190 lb quarterback from Mississauga, Ont., where he played for Lorne Park Secondary School.
