OVFL all-star kicker now a Carleton Raven

Ravens continue to attract commits to their 2017 class.

Thorold, Ontario, the hometown of Hayden Riley, a kicker from Dennis Morris Secondary School, is a far cry from Canada’s capital, but the young player will get a taste of big city living after committing to Carleton University.

Riley has been kicking and punting for five years, having played with the Niagara Spears in the Ontario Varsity Football League and the Niagara Generals in the Ontario Minor Football League. The three-time OVFL all-star kicker will now be looking to take his talents to the budding Carleton Ravens.

β€œI feel like on the football side of Carleton, it is a team that is on the rise and I want to be able to make a difference,” he said. β€œI really like the coaching staff. I’ve only been treated with absolute respect and I feel like we will work great together.”

Beyond football, the tall, 6’5, 210lbs football player has his sights set on criminology. He said he chose to commit to Carleton because the school offered this program, which he added really interests him.

β€œI’m very excited to start playing football at Carleton University. I’m going to do everything it takes to get where I need to be when training camp rolls around,” Riley said.
