OVFL Peewee: Thunder cruise to victory over wildcats

The visiting toronto thunder scored early and often to run away from cross town rivals the metro toronto wildcats.

The thunder’s first touchdown of the game was set up by a metro fumble at their own 27 yard line. The very next play after the fumble, the thunder’s scored on to make the score 6 to 0 after the convert was blocked. The teams then traded 3 straight three and out offensive performances. The thunder benefited from a big punt return by #24 Justin Ongteco when he returned it to the metro 21 yard line. That set up their second touchdown, when RB #32 Nathaniel Johnson scampered 6 yards to pay dirt. Convert again was no good and thunder were up 12 to 0 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter saw much of the same as the first. Thunder capitalizing on a metro turnover and scoring a touchdown. Both second quarter touchdowns came off of turnovers. The first one was picked up by #20, Korey Greene, at the metro 20 yard line. Four plays later #47, Rakeem Simms walked in for the TD. Greene was the benefactor of the 2nd turnover when he intercepted a metro pass with 1:07 to go in the half. Four plays later the thunder scored on a one yard Johnson run. The TD was set up by big pass plays from QB, #7 Michael Willard to receivers #24 Dejaun Martin and #88 Shomari Mudock-Reid.

The second half saw the thunder score 2 more TDs. The lone metro touchdown came on a 34 yard run by running back #33, Pelle Jorgen. Final Score 39 to 6.
