It was a bad week that only got worse following Friday nightβs kickoff in Niagara.
Days after the Newmarket Bucs lost their Head Coach Mike Lepore, who resigned for personal reasons, the team got hammered 50-0 for the second consecutive week.
The offence just could not find a rhythm, unable to score a point after the first eight quarters of the season. This week the passing game was non-existent, as the Bucs completed just one pass for 22 yards all game.
The defence allowed 348 total yards, and special teams consistently set the team back in field position. The Bucs averaged just over 22 yards on their five punts, and four yards on kickoffs, although, the team only had to kick the ball off once.
Next week, the Bucs will host the 1-1 Etobicoke Eagles, who earned their first victory of the season last week against Pickering.
