The Mississauga Warrior varsity squad has had to do things the hard way all year. Saturday’s game against London was no exception to this trend.
Facing the league leading passing attack of the London Falcons, the Warriors went down early 15 to 0. The first touchdown was scored on the opening kick return and the second on a uncovered wheel route touchdown pass from the arm of Blake Huggins. The game was then delayed for about an hour due to a thunderstorm. At the time of the delay the Warriors were on the Falcon 16 yard line.
After play resumes the Warriors did manage to score a touchdown making it 15 to 7.
The real momentum changer was a 75 yard punt return touchdown by William Pitt-Doe. It made the half time score 15 to 14 but it gave the momentum the Warriors needed in the second. Sean Snary had 3 sacks in a great defensive effort and the Warriors won by a score of 29 to 18.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
