Pair of CFL Draft picks sign with Rams

The Langley Rams are pleased to announce that Dylan Roper and Tore Corrado have signed with the CJFL club for the 2014 season.
Both players come to the Rams out of Simon Fraser University and both were 6th round selections in the 2014 CFL Draft.
Defensive Lineman Dylan Roper is a 6’ 2” 220 lb graduate of Carson Graham High, the North Vancouver native recorded 37 tackles, 6 quarterback sacks and a fumble recovery as a Senior at SFU in 2013 and was a 2 time BC High School Provincial All Star and the Defensive MVP of the 2010 BCHS Senior Bowl.
Roper was taken in the 6th round, 50th overall, by the BC Lions in the 2014 CFL Draft.
Receiver Tore Corrado is a 6’ 0” 175 lb graduate of Notre Dame High, the Vancouver native caught 21 passes for 231 yards 2 touchdowns and returned 12 kickoffs for 418 yards 1 touchdown, a 99 yard effort versus Humboldt State, as a Senior at SFU in 2013, Corrado was a GNAC 2nd team All Star in 2012.
Corrado was taken in the 6th round, 51st overall, by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2014 CFL Draft.
Both players are 22 years old and will use their one year of Junior eligibility to hone their skills before taking another shot at a CFL roster in 2015.
The 2014 Canadian Junior Football League season begins in the Township of Langley on July 26th with the Rams hosting Nanaimo’s VI Raiders, game time is 4PM at McLeod Park Stadium.
