Nolan Cole has played for three teams during his gridiron career. He has been a part of the Orleans Bengals in the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA), and the Ontario Varsity Football League’s (OVFL) Cumberland Panthers. He also played on Team Ontario in both the Spalding Cup and the International Bowl.

“The highlight for me last season was winning my second bronze medal in the Spalding Cup with Team Ontario,” said Nolan of the tournament, where he also was named Game 1 Honorary MVP.

Throughout his football career he has been nominated twice as NCAFA All-Star, won Most Improved Player, Coach’s Choice and Offensive MVP.

Moreover, the Panther is going to be working with an offensive line specific coach and weight training to prepare for the upcoming season.

“The recruitment process thus far has been great…,” commented the offensive tackle, “… it has allowed me to meet lots of new people and learn about university unique programs that I would otherwise not know about.”

Nolan has not gone on any sort of university visits, nor does he have any complete plans to do so in the future. He plans to study computer science, computer programming, or computer networking in university, before going on to work in whatever part of technology development gives him the best opportunity.

“The most influence people in my life are my parents and some of my close coaches,” explained Nolan.

On the field, his influences are Carl Tolmie, Brock Flemming and Matthew Nesbitt.
