Path to the Draft: CFC100 Lenius unique offensive weapon

(Bettina Hansen / The Seattle Times)

The CFL Draft in May is quickly approaching, and this is the second year CFC100 ranked prospects are eligible to be selected by professional teams across the country. In the December Edition of the CFL Scouting Bureau’s Top 20 Rankings, 14 of the players were members of the CFC100 heading into university. We’ll be preparing for the big day by breaking down their journey’s to the next level from high school to the national stage. The CFC Prospect Game roster reveal will also take place live on May 2nd during the CFL Draft broadcast by TSN at 8pm (ET).

Today we take a look at CFC100 REC/TE Brayden Lenius out of New Mexico, who may be the most interesting offensive prospect going into the draft.

“Standing at 6’5″, 245lbs, Brayden Lenius is one of the most intriguing prospects going into the CFL Draft. There’s not much room for purebred tight ends in the CFL anymore, but Lenius could become a multidimensional weapon on offence who can line up at receiver, tight end, fullback or make a significant impact on special teams.”
