Path to the Draft: CFC100 Thomassin carrying on Laval tradition

The CFL Draft in May is quickly approaching, and this is the second year CFC100 ranked prospects are eligible to be selected by professional teams across the country. In the December Edition of the CFL Scouting Bureau’s Top 20 Rankings, 14 of the players were members of the CFC100 heading into university. We’ll be preparing for the big day by breaking down their journey’s to the next level from high school to the national stage.

Today we take a look at CFC100 OL Samuel Thomassin out of Laval, who’s also drawing interest in NFL circles after participating at the College Gridiron Showcase in Texas.

“Standing at 6’6″, 330lbs, Thomassin is your classic example of a mauler at guard … He can also deliver a serious punch off the line that jars most defensive linemen out of their stance, and his mountain like frame makes it tough for linemen to breakthrough once he locks on with a death grip.”
